My Inside Voice

I feel anxiety
I feel disoriented
I feel sad
As if my life
Has rushed by too fast
The colours too bright
The bridge too short
I scream loud
And loud
With horror
Craved into my face
My screams
Echo to the vast ocean
Ships rowing by too fast
People running away
As I stand on that bridge
My hands covering my ears
And scream
Letting the wind
Carry my voice
Everywhere
