My Inspiration

My Inspiration

Long nights

Huddled up tight

My brother to my left, my sister to my right

I’m inspired by my grandmother

Because did she what was right

She took us in when we needed help

Her role to step in was what she felt

She didn’t hesitate

Nor did she think of the effect that would be put on herself

She raised me to be just and fair

She wanted me to be in position to be a good person

And now I’m there

She is a selfless woman

So I’m inspired to be a selfless man

And I thank her from the bottom of my heart

Our bond will never be taken apart
