My Inspiration

Everyone has something that motivates them

For some it may a lover or best friend

An idol they look up to 

Or a story that has taught many lessons

For me it is a determined woman

Poised when walking into a room

Yet never afraid of hard labor

Always doing what needs to be done

Though life was not the kindest to her

She always knew how to love

Through the burning fire

And in the pouring rain

This woman carried me for 9 months

At the age of 17 she still is bearing me 

She mopped up all of my tears

Cleaned up all of my wounds

This woman is proof that nothing is impossible

In the end I am her daughter

 I aspire to be just like her

Mother is what inspires me
