My Internal War

Always and forever in thought

Never opening my locked heart

Wishing that all my wars were fought

Feels like I’m being pulled apart

Hatred and fury burn through me

Pushing me forward, seeing red

Wishing life was always carefree

Remembering all that I’ve bled

Words in my heart, knifes in my soul

I get built up but fall back down

Wondering if I'll ever be whole

But all I ever do is frown

I’m only a human being

I will forever make mistakes

And sadly I can’t stop dreaming

But I'll get through it in small quakes
