My intoxication
It lies not in liquids
nor in substances
It makes me afflicted
From circumstances
The banging of the beats
The thud of the kicks
Has me left off a leash
It Flows fluidly off my lips
I Witness the sound waves travelling
I Witness its touch
I Witness my heart anticipating
I Witness the rush
The switch is overwhelming
My mistakes struggle to catch me
Its strength is intoxicating
Showing me the earned relief
Feeling possessed
I have immense energy
Happiness guaranteed
My past is in jeopardy
Swaying in circle's
Every chant grows louder
Tangled in a barbel
Every fear loses its power
It soothes my soul
It gives me control
