My Ipod
A small blue rectangle,
that holds the worlds thoughts.
It screams when I’m angry,
Gives advice when I need a talk.
Not ashamed to cry with me,
It never disagrees.
He helps me stay focused,
When I’m lost and can’t see.
He helps me block out the world,
Helps me learn to cope.
He also gives me faith,
And reminds me to have hope.
He knows my aunt and uncle,
Who passed years ago.
He knows all the friends,
I’ve ever let go.
He knows my parents,
and my bottled up thoughts.
He knows all the battles,
I have ever fought.
He saves me from life,
He protects me from pain.
Me and that blue rectangle,
We’re one in the same.
But what I love the most about him,
Is who gave him away.
I think of that person,
When I see him each day.
Because her and my thoughts,
We’re exactly alike.
We’ve felt the same things,
And we’ve fought the same fights.
Thanks to my best friend Megan,
I make it through each day,
Knowing that she is with me,
And I’ll be okay.
