My Jailor

Why are you here? Everything was okay until you showed up.. You’re causing me to break down again. Your dark aura begins to affect me I want to be happy but with you here, I never will be. The film of hatred you cover my body with expands, forming an impenetrable bubble around me. No love gets in and I can’t break out. I don’t dare get close to anyone again. The closer I get to someone, the faster the wall catches up to me., They’re pushed even farther away, left thinking that I don’t care. I scream and I shout, “It’s not me I swear!” But none will hear my pleas. Do you want me to be all alone? Well, you have gotten your wish. Tears of loneliness steadily and silently stream down my cheeks. Soon there will be enough to flood my room, my prison. Where’d this straight jacket come from? If I don’t get out I’ll drown. I yell, “Someone, something, save me.” Then I remember, All that which I once loved, no longer has the power to save me. You.. the pain, hatred, sadness, the hurt. You are the reason I am like this. It is you not me. One day I will have the strength to make you leave. Just you wait and see.
