My journey.

Thump thump thump thump,
the sounds of my heart,
of my feet hitting the floor.
I'm walking,
no!
I'm pacing.
I'm running out of time! The deadline is coming!
There's nothing I can do to stop it.
What will I do? Who will I become?
I'm 18 years old, and I'm about to graduate highschool.
And what's worse, I don't have a plan!
...
I need more time. (I think)
What I really need is direction. I need someone to tell me what to do, and that everything will be alright.
I'm at an intersection.
A four way collision course.
I scream, but no one hears me, my voice is hoarse.
Or is it silent?
I'm scared...
... Splash!!
What's this feeling? Did the cars crash?
No, but all of a sudden I feel better.
Why? What happened?
You see, everyone goes through this. And to be frank, it's hit or miss.
You either figure out what to do with your life, or you don't. It's that simple. But what did it for me was a culmination of emotions. I got energy from places I didn't know I could. My desire to help my mother, the one who has given so much to me, is the biggest reason. But for you, it could come from anywhere. You just have to dig deep down and find that place, that source of energy.
Now I'm 19. I'm no longer confused.... now.... I AM SURE.
I'm sure of my duty as a son.
I'm sure of myself, of who I am, and of what I can do.
I now have the confidence to confront my future head on.
This is my message: be sure of yourself just like me.
