My Journey

I grew up as

becoming an adult

no one was there

when I took 2 steps

I was hesitant to try

I was scared I would not succeed in life

with no help at all

i helped myself

I try, I try again

I put on a smile each day

So everyone know I'll be okay

Raised by no father or mother in my life

My grandma took me as her own

Going to school was hard but at the same time easy

Got into some trouble with the wrong people

Falling back behind my classes

With still no help at all again

With no friends, teachers or family

I still push myself

Thinking what I wanna do in my life

Is hard to think

There's so many things I can be

But the only friend I had was music

Each day I learn a cord

Like learning something new

The only thing I was good at was playing the ukulele

So my dream is become a music teacher

Having a job on my senior year

Is hard going to school and getting money

With the money I wanna buy a house for my grandma

Gonna be the 1st to graduate from high school

I hope I'll see you there

Giving you a smile and wave

Looking up telling the man above

I did it

But this is just the start of my journey
