My journey to the mountain

The grief itself creeps in the depths of my heart,

As it prepares to devour me alive

All the memories, flash in front of my eyes like lightning-fast, but deadly.

All I can remember  is me joyously  laughing my lungs out one day,

And  me crying out  my eyes the next,

when death knocked on the doors of all my joy, happiness and comfort,

Then took them away

I looked at the mountain from a distance

It felt like a part of me was stolen, but never to be retrieved again,

Like my heart was shattered, but I couldn’t find the glue to put the pieces together

The tiny pieces may seem like absolutely nothing

But they are what hold me as a girl,

Trying to fit into today’s society

Where I have to look a certain way to please people I will never care f

I started my journy to the foot of th

Nevertheless, I hold my chin high..so the heavens can see,

I take strides of pride, because I know, that I am a fighter

This is only the beginning of the plans that Jeremiah 29vs 11 has set for me

And I will wait...wait until I reach the peak of the mountain
