My Journey to Wings

I let them tell me they were broken,

and that my wings were never there.

I lost my creative spirit,

and slowly, I began not to care.

I listened to the voices,

ones who said "the world will never be kind."

I believed and ran,

and never looked behind.

The road was rough.

alone, and many times falling down.

But I embraced my journey,

...and there, my wings were found.

Unbroken wings, revealed.
