My Kind of Healthy

I thought I was happy,

I thought I was needed.

Until I noticed,

On me you had cheated.

You left me lonely,

I cried for days.

You never cared,

I was in a daze.

What we had,

Wasn't real love.

What I have now,

Is leaps and bounds above.

He treats me right,

He is always there.

I never have to guess,

How much he cares.

He stands by my side,

He always supports me.

What a difference,

Now I see.

I was told about you,

warned about your kind.

I thought I was immune,

But I was just blind.

Looking back,

I recognize the signs.

Abuse comes in many forms,

And it'll never let you shine.

Now I am happy,

Now I am needed.

He is everything I want,

I have been completed.
