My Last Love

A year of romance

Is what we had.

The hate

And torment

Was disguised by

Jokes and

Late night texts.

All of the tears

And pain

Weren't worth all that we went through.

But in the end,

I'd probably go

Back to it again.

You holding me

In your arms

Was warm and

Inviting.

I'll never forget

The feeling of

Your warmth

In the cold autumn air.

The feeling of

Being loved,

Feeling protected and

Understood

Might have made

The tears

And pain

Worth what we went through.
