My Lasting Presence

I am the late night talks with you,

Friend.

Hours went by where I have nothing to say,

Because it wasn't my words that healed

you

I am the movies and restaurants where

we spent our time.

The places where we were never satisfied,

Because it wasn't the food that sustained

you

I am the moment in time,

where we both said good bye,

And the sadness that followed thereafter.

Yet here you will stay,

I will not fade away,

For my presence is with you,

Forever
