My Leaves, Her Tree

I never knew we’d become so

close

Your not my second mother from most

But I can talk to you wherever I am

You encourage me to be the woman

God created her to be

Her roots are strong

Holding her high and tall

Her pain never rise

And I praise

Even on rainy days

She shine rays

She grew so far

Inspiring my heart

Her tree glows

As I go

She let me grow

Kept me in a pot

Until I reached a spot

In which I grow alike

Strong and bright

I became her leaves

That came from her tree
