My letter to Amerikkka

My letter to Amerikkka,

How could you? You betrayed my trust for the very last time. Every time I feel like we're getting better we're slowly getting worse. How could you put that man in office?

You know what he stands for but yet you still trusted him enough to put him in office. Then you put him up there like a puppet to lie to my face. What am I going to say to my immigrant friends? My little cousin who is going to have to not only grow up with a terrible father that thinks of her as an object but has to go through 4 years of a man that hates her without even knowing her story.

He hates me. Everything he stands for is against me. Everything he is, is the opposite of me. At least when we had a black president I could see my reflection. Now all I see is....

America how could you do this to me. And for no reason a that. What have I done to you? Oh, wait I forgot I'm black. You burn the block I was on. That's why I leave a hell of a path that others follow easily. You hate the look of me so you broke the mirror and turned off the lights. But I don't need lights to shine bright, I am the fire you tried to extinguish. I don't need your mirror to tell me I'm pretty.

But the moment you put that man in office. The fire you lit got brighter, you turned off the lights. The cracked mirror became my weapon. You've broken my trust now watch your back because I'm tired of getting stabbed.
