My Lie

What makes a lie? The truth caught in your eyes? The truth that can’t escape the fate? The desire you can’t sate? I’m so used to the lies, the untruths I despise. I can’t tell the truth, a struggle I’ve had since youth. I don’t know how to tell anyone, all the things I’ve done, Hair standing up on my nape, the secrets about my cape.
