My Life
I have always been on the go. When in third grade, while attending Baersville Elementary School in Hanover, Pennsylvania my mother married my current-day stepdad whom is in the United States Air Force. After completion of my third grade year, I was off to San Antonio, Texas. In San Antonio I went to a much larger elementary school on one of the largest Air Force Bases in the United States: Lackland Air Force Base. This base was absolutely massive in size; I could see why it would be named one of the largest in the United States. I attended the elementary school on the base called Lackland Elementary School. I attended Lackland Elementary until the completion of 6th grade. Shortly after the year ended it was time for another move. Colorado Springs, Colorado was the next stop. In Colorado I made some of my best friends while attending Falcon Middle School. It wasn’t easy making friends at a new school, but with my second move, I was getting a hang of it. While at Falcon Middle School, I met three awesome friends and really bonded with them. Once I completed my eighth grade year, it was time to begin the most important phase of my college prep, High school. Having completing middle school on a high note and with some amazing friends at my side, I was ready to take on the challenge.
High school was difficult my freshman year. To make matters worse, I found out I would be making another move before my stepdad would be retired from the Air Force. Leaving Colorado this time was heartbreaking; leaving my friends now was much harder since I matured into high school. After taking time, I moved on and we moved to Haymarket, Virginia. In Virginia I attended Battlefield High School. Battlefield was by far the largest school I had attended; it was a 6A School with around 3,000 students in total. I didn’t make as good of connections as I have in the past but I got through my sophomore and junior years rather quickly it seemed. There was about to be one last stop on my school tour. I am currently a senior at South Western High School in Hanover, Pennsylvania. You guessed it; the same school district where this whole journey began. I’ve returned home again, much closer to old friends and family. The journey was long, but I powered through and got to explore new places like never before.
