My Life
My Life
Loud splashes surround my senses.
The saltiness of the ocean danced around me.
With each wave was another blow of wind.
The rice and fall of the waves at my feet.
The bright light of the sun, glares at my closed eyes.
I open my eyes, finding myself on a large, dull metal machine with wings, wondering where it had gone.
The sea.
The blurred of places long gone in my mind fly past.
It stops in Texas, Huntsville.
Dull and simple, the memories are bland and boring, rarely anything happens.
Suddenly it moves again, Texas, Downtown.
A somewhat small, dirty colored apartment outside seemed just as dark.
The sounds of a loud train blared in my ears, every time I was almost about to sleep.
Tall cities that touched the skies, reaching out like hands, at times, I would reach out too.
School was somewhat more colorful but staying inside all day was boring.
My friends made it somewhat more bearable.
Right when middle school ended, my vision changed to a new place, A smaller apartment.
At first, it was just as dark and dreary, but over time, it grew some color.
The trees outside were somewhat comforting, the colors on the outside were nicer too.
Sadly, high school was the rotting rust in the corner of my eye.
A new friend arose from the dull metal, the only one keeping me from rusting.
The war for colors and dullness has just begun, perhaps now things will be different.
