My LIfe

My life you say

Then why must try and take away

You say that you trust and yet your actions mislead

You say that you love but your soul is all green

Green with envy that is of the steps I am taking

You hate that I lept when you just sat thinking

You hate that I soar when I tore down my walls

You live in that box full of only your sounds

I cannot see just sitting and wasting away

No I choose life every second, every minute, every hour, every day

I do not want to look back and see all I needed was a shove

I am my shove

My life is my own, my mistakes too

Take it or leave it, it is NOT up to you

I want to look in the mirror and like what I see

Your love is appreciated but does not define me

The scars I have created remind me of how I rose above

How my hope was not found on the wings of a dove

My hope was found in God's Love

in my Love
