my life
im a young latino male i grew up in a world full of hatred.
their was things people have said and done just because i was born with this skin color.
ive been raised doing the typical things people thinks hispanics do,
yes i was around the drug's , the gangs. the fighting.
everyday it was rough waking up in the typcial hispanic household.
that my father and mother were alwyas fighting seeing my father leave to the store &
not come back but till one day he reaches out to us and he has another family.
He came back asking for forgivenss. we were young so we forgave because as we
were so young our hearts werent capable of hate yet. but little did we know he would
do it again. i would go to school alone everyday and come home everyday,
hoping my dad was back , the worst days were the days you were allowed
to bring your father to school and i would just sit alone at a table and think to
myself what did i do wrong.why wasnt my father here. id go home to a empty house,
i would be home alone with my two sisters. because unlike my father my mother
decied to stay. so she worked three jobs we barley saw her. only times i remeber
seeing her was when we would go to work with her becasue we didnt have anyone to take care of us.
i remember the only other times i would see her would be at 3am wheni would wake up crying
asking wheres daddy mami why doesnt he love me enough to be here . i keot blaming
myself for my father leaving . i started growing up angery and getting into trouble.
making everyones life hell. then we moved to florida then we came back and we
were homeless during the winter sleeping in my mothers car cause our own family
kicked us to the curb like trash. i felt useless and worthless. then i just started getting
into trouble and fighting. i started stealing and hangiing with the wrong crowd.
then i got into drugs and started selling. my mother said i was becoming like my dad.
and i didnt care i started dealing and dealing more drugs careing less at the same time
going to partys and drinking and doing the drugs, then i started getting kicked outta
my house so i was staying on the street or where ever i could. then i got kicked outta
school and went to military school then got kicked outta there and came back started
dealing again then i stopped. but three months after turning eighteen i did it one more time
and got set up and caught im facing jail time and felony on my recored. but im not scared
i started trying to change slowley but surely i became a bible study teacher at my church
for younger kids and volunteering and doing good deeds. yes i didnt have as they say a
easy life or a good childhood but ive learned from it all. that i can make it no matter what
happens ill be fine. ill survive just because of all the world wants me to fail because
i am a young proud hispanic male. i am proud of who i am the skin color i have no
matter what anyone says. i am proud.
