My Life, My Words

Why do I write?

To tell my story?

To reveal the truth about my life?

To share the lessons I have learned?

We have all faced the unthinkable,

And come out stronger in the end.

With every word I write,

I show my passion,

I reveal what has driven me to the edge,

And show the world that we are all connected.

In our pain.

Our anger.

Our sadness.

But most of all,

I write for me.

To hold the details of my past in shorts verses

To remember the moments when I did not break,

But stood strong and faced the world.

I write to remember.

The past.

The present.

And the future.

I love this piece and your explination for why you write. I is definitely something that stands out because many people use it for different things and to see how you are using it makes a difference in the outcome of your work, doesn't it. Keep on remembering, therefore keep on writing poetry!

Becca.
