My Life as an Outsider

An outsider is what I don't want to be,

An outsider is what I get for being me.

I had to change the way,

To have friends,

A group that will stay.

But then I found someone who is always he,

Never someone he is not named Avery.

He is sweet,

He is kind,

He has similar things with me like his mind.

He does care what I am now,

He likes me for me and things I used to do he will allow.

I should have been myself all along,

Because this is not just a poem,

It is like my song.

I was an outsider,

but now I am not,

Because of people like Avery

whos personality can not be bought.
