My Life with You

I walk three miles everyday

I have no car or other means of transportation

I do not ask for money

I am exhausted when I reach your place but seeing your face makes it all worth it

Because I love you

You open doors when I am around

You pull out my chair so I could sit down

Whenever we walk, you are closest to danger

When we are out, you won't allow me to touch a check

You say it is because you love me

But I let you do it because I love you

When there is a problem, you come to me

I wipe your tears as you would mine

You lay your head on my chest

I hold you as a mother would a child

Then I comfort you which always ends with a smile

Because I love you

I always encourage you to strive for greatness

So I always say reach beyond the stars

We disagree on almost everything

Difficulty is what makes it imperfect

And anything perfect isn't real

I'll take all the imperfections that come with us

Because I love you

To love is not easy nor is loving hard

Often it comes with a bittersweet feeling

But I take the serenity with the raging fire

because everybody has to get through it

I only choose to because I love you
