My Lifetime Partner

Mon, 08/19/2019 - 14:31 -- Therron

I didn't believe Love at first sight

until I saw you for the first time

I noticed the sun touching your beautiful

golden skin adding to your natural shine

I rubbed my eyes with confusion

I felt as if I was in a fairy-tale dream

I was star struck, I was a first-hand eye witnessed

to a heavenly Queen

At that moment I knew

you were My Lifetime Partner

You sat in the garden wearing a bright smile

as you gazed and picked flowers

I watched and observed you

it was something about you that was attracting me

It wasn't your natural beauty

It wasn't your lovely smile

nor your black hair that waved with the breeze

It was something about your essence

that had a hold on me

It was something about your

innerself that kept attracting me

At that moment I knew you were My Lifetime Partner
