My Light in the Dark

Walking down the narrow path,

No glimmer of light in sight.

What do I do to solve the complex math

That is my mental fight?

Hope is my light,

But it doesn't feel right

That I don't have anything near.

All I have is fear.

Then I met you,

And you took all the blue

that corrupted my psych.

Why did you help?

Why did you join my hike?

You took my hand and took the lead.

You illuminated the way.

Finally, my mind was fed,

And the dark was kept at bay.

Friend, can you hear me?

You have to understand that you saved my life.

I know I may be awkward to see,

But I need to make this right.
