My Little Dreams
Dreaming about the dark roasted coffee in the glass only big enough to softly hold between your finger and thumb
Dreaming about the way he would wrap me up so tightly the world seemed distant and unreal
Dreaming about the crowd stopped, eyes on my story and movements, holding their gaze, their thoughts
Dreaming about the laughter the hurt my stomach, shocking a silent room with a burst and making my cheeks sore from scrunching so close to my eyes
Dreaming of the words of pride leaving the mouth of my mother as she looks to her children
Dreaming of long skirts flowing over the stone as I dance with my sister, stretching our arms out past the lakes and trees
Dreaming of the smoky clouds, cool nights, and ideas stretching our imaginations
