MY LITTLE EXPERIMENT
i could make a whole book about you
not the pretty kind,
the kind that smells like smoke and data.
every page an autopsy of what i felt,
every word measured, clinical, precise.
i’d call it research,
but we both know it’s fixation.
you were never a person, not to me
more like a question that refused to die.
i studied your silences,
charted your inconsistencies,
dissected your warmth until it made sense on paper.
but the variables were wrong,
and so was i
because the more i understood you,
the less i could think at all.

Personal obsession grounded in specific relationship, philosophical undertones about understanding.
Dense accumulation of metaphors, observations, contradictions. Multiple complex ideas per line.
Darkly introspective, clinical detachment masking pain. Self-aware regret and dysfunction dominate.
Intense intellectual velocity. Sharp declarative statements drive momentum despite meditative subject.
Approximately 15 lines. Single prose-block format suggests compressed medium length.
Book/smoke metaphor, autopsy, clinical precision, variables. Rich extended conceits throughout.
Pure lyric internal monologue. First-person confessional, self-directed analysis, no narrative distance.
