My Little World

I was so happy in the beginning
In my own little world her and I lived
I love you said she to me while grinning
i grinned back; if only i knew she'd fibbed

I did believe her for some odd reason
And followed her blindly throughout the years
bored she became from season to season
An' Like an attack came all of my fears

Only one word said she which was goodbye
Just that lonesome word turned my heart to frost
Does He above, look down and laugh at I ?
I who have loved but wholeheartedly lost

In the end my love was all just in vain
Love only brings sorrow, hurt and pain
