My Little World

Bump bump bump, was the only sound that was playing in my ears

It was loud then quiet and as the first words were spoken

my mind went into its only place drowning out the rest of the world.

All of my problems were washed away

I forgot about the fighting and yelling in the background and imagined myself in a safe place away from the noise.

The place my mind went to was dark but safe and I knew no one could hurt me there no one words or looks could get me.

And as the song ended the world went back to normal but it was still the same.

The yelling and fighting was still going on but I wasn’t paying attention to what they were saying.

I just went back into a new world with the next song.
