My Lord

What do you want to bring with you?

Book, food, or friend,

to name a few.

But only one can and will stay true.

He'll keep me warm, safe and dry,

and wipe away the tears I cry.

He is my rock, He guides my feet,

Rest in Him and feel complete.

So what can I not live without?

I need no toys, no fire or sword,

the only thing I need is

Jesus Christ, my Lord.
