My Lord, My Savior

When on an island all alone I know there will be one person with me.

He goes by many names but to me he is My Lord, My Savior.

When lost in my own thoughts he keeps me sane he comforts me.

I keep him close to my heart because I know without him I would be nothing, there would be no me.

When he is there with me I feel no fear because I know I can trust him.

I keep my prayers strong and Him close because I know he is listening.

Though feelings of unhappiness and loneliness do come and go I know he is there to keep me strong.

Out of all the people to be with me stranded I chose him

It is important to keep God in my life, with him in it I see my difficulties through a different lens.

No matter how bleak things may seem, He reveals His promise to somehow bring good to my life.

I will always bring Him with me wherever I go.
