My lost love

One morning she was with me
the next I was alone.
My love too soon gone was she
o'er her body I now moan.

I know that I will miss her
but she won't let me go.
In my heart I'll keep her
And always love her so.

I wish that I had spoken
more kindly to her then
My small heart it now is broken
as she's beyond human ken.

I know that I can someday
be with her once again
but until I'm with my sweet fay
I'll look forward until then.
