My Love

My love is a like a burning red rose with thorns that prick small fingers, illuminating my sunburnt pink nose. You keep me safe from life’s terrors. The shelter of your arms hides me from all the darkness that covers my tears and cries. You turn on the light. My heart is keen, fall- en for you. My stomach has been tied into tight knots. My insides leap at the sight of your eyes. Uncontrollable butterflies flutter. My heart beats a-pitpat. And my friend you are reliable. A long day spent with you by my side a continuous love like the rolling tide.
