My Love

Shh listen to my heart, don’t you hear it

the fear it has of being hurt

by the person it holds so dear

it’s afraid, confused, but hopeful

for someone to tend to it with love

it struggles and doubts itself

its own blood is it’s own tears

It slowly dies when it believes

to never be cared about

then revives as lively as the shining stars in the sky

when it finds a person to love

only it’s temporary and the dying begins again

it’s waiting hoping that love will come

…...hoping it exist for the girl that it resides inside
