My Love
Together we relax in each other’s company.
The stresses around us drift away.
Together we talk for hours about destiny,
riveting lives around us display.
Calling me to climb between your tempting covers,
each day your arms draw me close to you.
Calling me to hear your tales of other cultures.
Each day brings its own unique value.
I fall hopelessly lost in your words and stories.
I absorb the chapters spent with you, cherished.
I fall hopelessly for you, vanished are worries.
I absorb your thoughts, though embellished.
Your soothing voice drowns out the voices in my head.
I escape to you both day and night.
My one true love is books
