My Love
My love,
Whenever I am with you time flies,
It seems as if time passes us by.
There goes my love on a plane
My sorrow, the excruciating pain.
Now I am here and you are there
In a distant city without a care in the air.
Our once spoken exchanges
Have turned into ambiguous dazes that put us in cages.
The days go by as a whispering cry,
And without you, my love, I can think only of our goodbye.
We cannot change the fact that you are there and I am here
I wish you could just reappear.
How will we survive this treacherous path
In which only a third of couples last.
We try, we grieve, we defeat the everlasting pain,
At least that's what's in our brain.
But the lasting scar
That's in our hearts
Go without a stare.
As you seem to be in despair.
And now here we are
In this claustrophobic jar
With limitations and arguments up in the air
You just can't bare.
You are there
And I am here, sitting hours away in this chair.
And now we seem to have an end.
Love,
The one who cared
