My Love

Dear Diary,

“Another nice day,” to myself I said.

But something is still missing!

Day after day, I am filled with dread.

I search, I wait, and I keep on listening.

No sign of my love has arrived.

I want to feel happy and to feel complete.

I am tired of being sad and deprived.

A day of happiness would be oh so sweet!

For so long, I searched far and wide.

I said to my Papa John,

My true love hides…

But one day, my heart will be won!

So I searched all across the land.

I went to New Jersey, New York, and a billion huts.

Even as far as Florida’s sand.

I told myself, “If I traveled this far, I must be nuts!”

No sign of my love has arrived.

I want to feel happy and to feel complete.

I am tired of being sad and deprived.

A day of happiness would be oh so sweet.

My last stop is in Phoenix, the valley of the sun.

At Mellow Mushroom Pizzeria, I see my love—in the glow of the oven’s light!

I want more than just one.

I want to hold my love and take a bite!

Tasting so good, I finished my food.

I am now feeling happy and now feeling complete.

My love has been found and I’m in a good mood.

All along, I’ve just wanted the perfect piece of pizza to eat!

 P.S. This is so cheesy!
