My Love

You laugh and I laugh

You make everything better

You give me your jacket

In the coldest of weather

Your hand’s in my hand

Can I feel this way forever?

You tell me you love me

I’m at a loss for words

It’s the most wonderful thing

That I’ve ever heard…

Coming from your lips

The ones I want to kiss

Let me hear you say it again

So I can cherish it

Hold me tight

And don’t let go

You’ll never leave me

This I know

You’re just my type

And I’m wondering why

I’m the one who’s blessed

With the very best guy

You came along

And made me feel

I found something

That’s finally real

I write in my free time whenever I feel strongly about a topic or need to get something off of my chest. Poetry has been a very therapeutic outlet for me through the years. I enjoy sharing my poems in hopes that they connect with someone, and I enjoy reading poems by other poets, too!
