My Love

I never asked for this

I did not choose it

all I wanted was a kiss

all I ever did was what you asked and now this bit

I love you more than life,

more than death, and most of all more than me

how could the end ever be nearing, searing and stabbing me In the chest with a knife

you are more to me than roses In the wild pasture being fertilized by a bee

you are my everything but am I that to you?

Is this all in my head or is it for real

I stood by you through a lot of stuff, is this all I am due?

I cannot being to imagine how to deal

I will and have loved you for all my life but I cannot help thinking this will all end tonight

I want to believe that nothing will come, that everything Is fine but something Is not right

we have been together for nine years this month

and I can tell when things start to run amuck

you and our daughter are my world, without y'all I cannot breathe

so please do not break up our family out of anger and pride

every time I think about It I sit and disbelieve

I love you and about that I have never lied
