My Love is the Answer
Dear Self,
From swollen womb to present day
Your love has been in a bad way
Beaten, broken, branded at the head
Your love has been given to minds that are dead
In sorrowful hearts, hollow inside
You have chosen to let your love reside
Your love is all knowing, It treats others well
Those captured knew not that it was your love to which they fell
Your love is worth fortunes, one smile brings great wealth
But your love is given to everyone but yourself
Away from the masses, that’s the only time you rest
Tears in your eyes, hands around your neck
After toothy grins and abdomen straining laughter
You look inside yourself and there is nothing left after
Staring in the mirror at the window in your room
Peeling off the mask behind which all your sorrows are strewn
You need bright guidance out of the dark
You need a voice to shout from the heart
So you must break the chains from which you are bound
Because your love is the light
And your love is the sound
Love, Yourself
Please.
