My Love for Books

A book

When it is near me it shows me all the things I need to know

When I am lonely or without a place to go

they are there

To hold me in a place of solitude

Confine me to one place

Safe and lost in the pages of written sanity

when the world makes space for foolishness alike

my books keep me  and hold me at night

I lose every care in the world surrounded by characters

Enclosed by experiences diferent than my own

Within these pages I find serinity

I read them in all kinds of mediums: books, ebooks, and nooks,

novels betake me

Images better than a movie swarm within my mind

I visualize these experiences

The new knowledge excites me everytime

realistic fiction, fantasy, mystery, horror, and achademics alike

They capture me at a glance

Suddenly I am at  peace

Books have a special place in my life

All I need is my books

I will not stop reading for fun!

I can't

This is how it has always been

Me and my books until the end
