My Love for You

Who can understand
what the meaning of love is
living here on Earth?

When we all have flaws
making us all imperfect,
even flawed I'll try.

When I say the words 
Because I love you, know this 
 I am here for you.

I will protect you
when you can't protect yourself,
when the times are hard.

I will stand by you
when everyone deserts you,
or tries to hurt you.

Telling you the truth, 
when everyone lies to you
because it is easy.

I will correct you
when you walk down the wrong path,
so you can succeed.

I will help you thrive,
in this life you will do great.
I will support you.

Teaching you new things,
so that you will shine in life 
 like a shooting star.

I give you my all
my heart, my time, and my love
I would die for you.

You have asked, "How come?"
