MY Lovely Enemy

My lovely enemy,

A moment of that fateful day,

Devil had taken goodness away,

Wilderness prevailed over humanity

Sense were lost, due to insanity,

Those determining people’s fate,

They were overpowered by hate,

The people living together for centuries,

Were divided, treating with,  as enemies,

They thought, they can’t live together,

So,  they held that separation was better,

Love was crucified for sake of hate,

They made partition of a state,

They thought it inevitable,

as it was to happen, as their fate,

That abrupt thought, let not them realise,

They made the blunder, they were not wise,

Under the illusion of glorious domes,

Millions of the people left their homes,

They all innocents, were made refugees,

As tsunami carries out uprooted trees,

There was violence, and even blood shed,

The river passing through turned to be red,

They killed each other for their religion and creed,

They couldn’t understand the politician’s greed,

In their land the dogs of war, were freed,

What was sown there, only venoms seed,

They were horrified, sobbing  and crying,

They were helpless, their dear ones dying,

Boundaries  were drawn on the land,

Rivers were divided and even sand,

Army deployed at the boundary,

To sacrifice their lives for their country,

But worst was that it divided people too,

They had to leave their motherland too,

Where infancy nurtured to youthfulness,

Where they were brimmed of goodness,

Playing, quarrelling, with each other,

Studying in same class, they didn’t bother,

Singing, dancing sharing the same dias,

They grew up to a man without any bias,

Love and fancy, they shared together,

Venomous hate brought there rough weather,

New script was written they were no more friends,

Boundaries were there, to restrict to their ends,

They are neighbourhood, and lovely enemies,

Now and then, they challenge for war,

Their love was lost they were driven away far,
