My Lover

My lover is frantic
like a sea storm,
rain and water
music and dreams

Her love is purple.
It is light as a rain's mist
Smooth
like honey
No diamond shining
like my goddess does.

Stars
drip from the ceiling and walls.
They float
down onto her eyelashes,
and when she blinks
I see them reflected in her eyes.

My lover is still.
Patient as a rising sun
Dramatic
as the sun leaving it's mark
on the evening sky.

My lover
chants at the moon
and sings for the tide
dusting us with the mist.
While we thank the Milky Way
for all that we are.
