To My Loving Friends
Do you ever miss it?
Those summer days of old
when we would wonder through the woods
Trampling mushrooms under foot
Do you ever miss the stories?
Told by fire light
The midnight games of hide and seek
The band game of truth of dare
Do you ever miss the hours of dress up?
When we would play act being grown up and having hundreds of friends
And as we grew our stories changed
We are now a band of sisters, taking on the world
We are advice givers and the purest form of love
We share share in joy, tears, and know the burdens that we bare we were not meant to bare alone
I will save all these times
And store them in my heart
So when my children want to know what it was like for me growing up
I'll tell them of all the good times we share
And although our friendship may fade in the years to come, I'll still have those memories.
My little living pictures
My real life works of art
All Stored up and treasured in my heart
