My Magic Wands
My Magic Wands
Writing Utensils
So bland, yet so powerful
They possess infinite wisdom
And understanding
They are my magic wands
Pens, pencils, crayons, paint brushes, markers, highlighters
All so unique, yet they serve the same purpose
To some writing utensils are basic creations
But I see much more than that
I see my magic wands
I see what has created, what creates, and will create masterpieces
I see what aided legends like Van Gogh and Picasso
What helps musical geniuses like Coldplay, Led Zeppelin and Kanye West
Express their greatness through their craft
And it all starts with the magic wands
These “simple writing utensils” have insight into the minds of all humans
Know what their mind yearns to express
Whether on a paper, computer, or even a human body
Writing conveys what the mind sometimes cannot
Because these writing utensils are magic wands
So why do I write?
I write because I have the power
To express my innermost thoughts
I write because it is release therapy
And it is all thanks to my magic wands
Writing allows me to get out what no other human could bear to hear
I am not judged by my magic wands
They allow me to customize my expressions, thoughts, and feelings
In a barrage of colors and styles
Because they are magic wands
I write because
Even though no two languages are the same
Writing is a universal language shared by all human beings
It is a global form of expression that most humans understand
Because the magic wands help us
I write because writing gives me the potential
To overcome adversity and become extraordinary
To do what the great artists, musicians, and other noteworthy individuals have done
To make something out of nothing
And it all starts with my magic wands
