My Maker
The Perfect curled hair?
you've seen it berfore.
The beautiful blue eyes?
Ive dreamed it once or more.
The beach body you admire?
Ive been to the gym.
The mirror you look in?
Well Take a look again.
My hair barely flows
My lips? they dont glow.
My eyes? psh! yeah right!
theyre brown, thats alright.
My makeup? Thats nothing
I can still shine my light!
See my maker has made me
He has made me just right
I dont need mabeline
Just the heart i hold tight
my laugh its not perfect
but who really cares?
Your friends you say?
well come over here.
my face has those freckles.
my thighs, theres no gap.
take out my contacts.
ill show you for real.
theres no filter needed
no one elses to steal.
ill read a few books
the stories ill have to tell
because i love how i look
my maker did well.
so look in YOUR mirror
now show me the you.
Your perfect dont you see?
The one who made me made you too.
theres no need for that look
Well because you are you
so take down the filter
ill dare you too
so you can see your beautiful
just being you.
