My Mentor

A mentor is not always a person you see.

A mentor can be anything that motivates me.

I think of a land that is near the Baltic-sea.

A place where it is common to see a birch tree.

This place is full of people who fought to be free.

After years of fighting they are finally in a place they could foresee.

To this land I have been a loyal devotee.

It inspires me work hard and achieve my goals; I can guarantee.

What is this place I speak of so kindly?

It is hard to believe it’s a reality.

This land is where begins my family tree.

Lithuania; my mentor, a beautiful country.
