My Mentor

Everybody has someone that they admire.

A person that helps them, a person that inspires.

They can be good, as they can be bad

But for me, that person is my dad.

My dad is not perfect, but he is not atrocious.

He is actually very nice but looks very ferocious.

As he influences me to be my greatest self,

He always puts his family needs first before himself.

I thank him for always being there for me,

As I learned that some things are not what they appear to be.

We may get into a lot of disputes,

But it is the time afterward that strengthens our roots.

My dad is admirable, as he is courageous.

He is strong and can be audacious.

He influences me to be the better person in my life;

I thank my dad as he is 'that person' that gives me advice.
